I have been a musician since the 7th grade. I started playing trumpet, and picked up the guitar in 8th grade. Since then, I have learned to sing, and play other instruments as well.
I came to BGSU as a Music Education major, but then switched to Computer Science. Even after I switched majors, I was still very active in music. I played trumpet in the BGSU Falcon Marching Band, and the BGSU Jazz Lab Band, and the BGSU Trumpet Ensemble.
In high school, I was very active in marching band, pep band, and the solo and ensemble contest every year. I got a superior (I) rating on all of the solos I played at contest, and was part of a trumpet quartet in 8th grade which recieved a superior (I) as well.
At the same time as all of that was going on, I was playing guitar in a rock band.
